Checking a surf report shouldn't require five tabs, three pop-ups and a subscription wall. SE Surf puts the whole picture — swell, wind, tides, water temperature and an honest quality rating — on one fast page per spot.

Where the data comes from
Marine and weather forecasts come fromOpen-Meteo, which aggregates the leading global models (ECMWF, GFS, ICON and more) behind a free, open API. Tide predictions come fromNOAA's Tides & Currentsnetwork. Spot descriptions, ideal conditions and ratings logic are ours, written by surfers, and improve with feedback.
We run on static pages — the site loads instantly, works on the worst beach 4G, and sends your data nowhere.
Honest limits
No global model resolves an individual sandbar. Treat every forecast as a plan, not a promise: skill is excellent at three days, useful at five, directional at seven. Local knowledge — yours, or the crew in the car park — always wins the last call. The ocean is powerful and unpredictable: surf within your ability, check conditions on the beach, and never rely on a website as a safety system.

SE Surf is built with Astro, styled with Tailwind CSS, and served as static HTML. Forecasts refresh on every page load in your browser. We use no tracking cookies, no ad networks and no account walls. Beach data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); coastline and place geometry from Natural Earth (public domain).
